In Memory of Uncle Carl

I went to the viewing for Uncle carl today in Yucca Valley. I saw some of the strongest men i have ever known weep for the strong old man with a big heart. As i stood over his casket and looked down at him, i realized that he wasnt there anymore. He is in heaven, and no longer suffering. After Hannah and Deanna said their goodbyes and told him ' thank you for all the hugs, Unca Carl' I thanked him. I bid him thanks for accepting me when his sister, eddies mom, hated me. Thanked him for hugging me when his wife turned her nose up at me. and finally, I praised him for his humor and for welcoming me to the family when no one else had. I touched his hand and caressed his cold cheek, and said goodbye, adding that 'we'll talk again, promise.' I loved the rough old man who spent most of his time making his grandkids laugh and working in his cabinet shop. He built his own house from the ground up. I hope this Eulogy does Carl Miller justice.
they will be flying his body from Ontario to Coyville, kansas at 7am tommorow.
