Here we see the Selfish Prince, just hours after being turned into a Hideous Beast by the disguised Enchantress. As he stands there looking at the single red rose, a petal detatches and falls into his palm. Just then, the reality of this nightmare sets in, and the Beast sinks into dispair. All he can think is " I should have let her in. I should have told her to stay..."
